Curo is one of the West Country's leading Housing Associations and required a single integrated website to replace five previous websites for separate parts of the group. The key challenge was to combine the content of five separate unrelated websites into a single website whilst building a site without any existing branding guidelines. It is a great example of how we have refined and polished the Umbraco CMS system to the needs of Housing associations especially as this example used the multi-site capabilities of Umbraco to such good effect. We ran an extensive discovery phase with the client including resident workshops, user testing and feedback sessions which helped refine our prototypes and polish the solution before we went into the production phase.

read more › Intranets suffer from a bloat of unused features and clutter. Yet there are key tasks that serve the vast majority of users but are either poorly covered or hidden beneath bloated features. After gaining lots of great user input across the organisation via workshops and surveying, we produced a core list of needs. Prototyping and - crucially - user testing those prototypes - enabled us to produce simple, yet very effective solutions and make sure these were the focus of the user interface. These simple important tasks drove everything and left room for other key information (alerts, messaging, and key communications) the space to also remain visible.
